We extend a warm welcome to the 50th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Burn Association (ANZBA) taking place from 15 – 18 September 2026 in Brisbane, Australia.

The ANZBA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) is the premier event for burn care leaders and practitioners in Australia and New Zealand. The ASM brings together influential leaders who deliver evidence-based care and practice using the latest technologies and techniques across all aspects of recovery from wound care to scar care and return to function. The introduction and adoption of innovative care solutions in pursuit of better burn care will be forefront throughout this ASM.

This year’s meeting revolves around the theme “Golden Jubilee: 50 Years of Burn Care Excellence”. Burn care has undergone a remarkable transformation that has dramatically increased survival rates and improved quality of life for burn survivors, evolving from an injury with limited treatment options to a multidisciplinary specialty.

This collaborative conference will focus on current care and research, which will inform the future direction of burn care to maximise consumer outcomes and reduce the burden of injury. Burn care, research, prevention and education are foundations for embracing the next 50 years of Burn Care Excellence.

The venue for this year’s ASM, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, is a short 20-minute drive from Brisbane Airport, providing delegates flying into the city with an easy travel experience. Once you’ve arrived, the Convention Centre is conveniently located at the heart of Brisbane’s cultural hub of South Bank surrounded by green spaces, galleries and performing arts, eateries and bars at every turn.

We look forward to celebrating with you all at the ANZBA 50th Anniversary Annual Scientific Meeting in Brisbane.
